Good Cop Stories
Sometimes Cops are actually helpful. Although it’s been 3 out of 25 cops.
I was Driving along in the snow at about 65-70 when my lane ran out, (they didn’t plow it), my car spun out and I went over the side into a ditch. The car was fine, and I was fine. In only a few minutes a Michigan State Trooper stopped to help. It was a really fine female cop. She asked me if I wanted to come sit in her car (haha). Sure. So inside she asked me If I wanted to keep trying to push the car onto the road and save the towing fee or just call a tow truck which happened to be on the other side of the freeway bailing some other dumb ass out. I decided to have her call the tow truck for me. She was really nice, Michigan Troopers are ok 🙂
CHP actually stops to help
I was driving in my 83 red honda civic pulling a trailer on the way to Andrews. I was like 20 miles from my town and I was trying to climb
a hill, but my car didn’t have enough power to pull the trailer up the hill without overheating. We learned later that the fan was hooked up wrong. As I was sitting on the side of the road, well off the road, a CHP stopped to offer some help. I told him I was fine and went on my way. Actually took time to stop.
CHP catches the bad guy
Chris and I were driving in his truck down the freeway. For some reason the old lady in the fast lane was driving really slow with a huge gap ahead of her. We passed her up and I was about to flip her off when I saw why. There was some guy in a like ford escort and he was all over the road. He was swerving between the fast and middle lane. Back and forth, like he was insane. I told Chris to get over to the might lane so we would be way the hell away from him if he hit anyone. We drove along for a while, we passed a CHP and he was just sitting on the side of the road. I was like oh well, thanks a lot. Way to be on top of things. The lady in the fast lane cut all the way across like 4 lanes and flagged down the cop. We continued on. After a while we saw the CHP come up, and he actually pulled over the right guy. I was totally amazed. It was one of the few times I ever saw a Cop come through and actually do his job.
